As the polls close and the votes are tallied, I invite you to take a moment to worship with me and fix our gaze upon Jesus.
“Waves of Glory” was born spontaneously in worship, with each verse and melody coming to life in different key locations over the course of a year. It began at a worship session at “David’s Tent” on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., where my friend Kat and I were singing and received the powerful line, “He went out like a Lamb, but He’s coming like a Lion.” Later that year, while leading worship at Harrisburg’s “Awaken the Dawn” tent gathering, the verse about the Lion of Judah took shape. Back in Pittsburgh, Kat and I refined the song, and a fresh melody flowed out, along with a verse about the eagle—that’s when we knew, “This is the song!”
Joyfully childlike and memorable, this song calls people to worship with freedom. In 2020, “Waves of Glory” was professionally recorded, capturing its journey from spontaneous inspiration to a fully realized anthem. Join me in worship tonight and declare the Waves of Glory coming down on His Bride!
Blessings,
I hear the Roar of the Lion of Judah and I See Eagles Gathering over the USA…; The Spirit of the Lord,..the Ruach Breath is beginning to Blow…!
